Using MiMeMo

MiMeMo is licensed under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, which you can read in full from the Legal section of this screen. That document covers the licence itself, warranties and Apple's role.

This page covers the things it does not: what happens with subscriptions, what the AI tools do, and where the meme library comes from. MiMeMo is made by GENOVEVA BOTĂNESCU. Questions go to support@mimemo.art.

What you make is yours

Everything you create in MiMeMo belongs to you. We claim no ownership of your projects, your photographs or your exports, and we do not use them for anything.

You are responsible for what you make — in particular, for having the right to use the pictures you bring in, and for what you publish.

Keep your own backups. Your work lives on your phone. Do not let one app be the only place a picture you care about exists.

Subscriptions

• Apple takes the payment, through your App Store account. We never see your card details.
• The price, the period and any free trial are shown before you confirm, and they are what applies.
• It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.
• If you start a free trial and then buy, the unused part of the trial ends.
• Refunds are Apple's to give. Ask through Apple's process; we cannot refund an App Store purchase.

The AI tools

Removing an object, expanding a picture and generative editing all send your image to OpenAI to be processed. The Privacy Policy explains that in detail. These are the rules for using them:

• Only submit pictures you have the right to submit.
• Do not use them to make anything unlawful, hateful, sexual involving minors, or intended to deceive people about a real person or event.
• We make no promise about the result. AI editing is approximate, and sometimes simply wrong. Look at what comes back before you publish it.
• Availability is not guaranteed. These features depend on a third party and may change or stop.

The meme and template library

MiMeMo ships with meme references, templates, stickers, frames and textures so there is something to recreate.

Much of that material is culturally shared imagery whose copyright is held by other people. It is there so you can recreate a meme the way memes have always been recreated. It is not a grant of rights in the underlying work, and it is not legal advice about your use of it.

How you use what you post is your responsibility, especially commercially. If you are recreating something recognisable for an advertisement, get advice first.

If you own a work that appears in MiMeMo and want it removed, use Copyright in the Support section above, or write to support@mimemo.art with the subject "Copyright". Tell us what the work is, where it appears, and how to reach you. We will look at it and remove material where the claim is well-founded, usually within 10 working days.

Using it properly

Do not use MiMeMo to break the law, to harass anybody, to impersonate somebody, or to work around the app's own limits — including anything that would circumvent payment.

Availability

We would like MiMeMo to work all the time and cannot promise that it will. Features may change or be withdrawn. Where a change is significant, we will say so in the app.
